Events:
Phi Sigma Sigma holds several events throughout the year to raise money for our national and local philanthropies.
One of the events that is hosted by Phi Sigma Sigma is called Phi Singled Out. This event is a dating game show based off of an episode of Boy Meets World. There is one contestant who is blindfolded, and all of the potential dates are standing behind the blindfolded contestant. After a series of questions the contestant will make a match! The winning contestants will win prizes. There are also great raffle prizes that are given away throughout the night.
Our national philanthropy event is a Rock-A-Thon. When we host a Rock-A-Thon, sisters of Phi Sigma Sigma sit outside of local pizza places and around campus in rocking chairs to can for money.
Another philanthropy event that is usually a favorite among the sisters is a grilled cheese sale. We host this sale outside of our nationally recognized sorority house. We charge a minimal amount for a grilled cheese sandwich, which is a nice change from pizza for a late night snack!
One of our most recent philanthropy events, that was hosted for the first time during the 2012 spring semester is Minute to Win it. This event is based off of the television show Minute to Win it where contestants must complete various tasks in under a minute. At this event the winner received a flat screen television. Raffle tickets are also sold for some great prizes such as a coach purse, X-box controllers, and a Phillies basket.
Along with these events, Phi Sigma Sigma goes canning around West Chester and has bake sales around campus!
